MEET THE ASLANS

I am: Casey
A newly wed Texan misplaced to the Capitol Region of the Empire State.
The south is in my blood but I love the diversity and individuality of the Northeast.
I'm a RN and have a love for Oncology Nursing. I know it's my calling in life!
I am married to a brainy scientist who has his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry.
He is not only intelligent but, loving, patient, kind, and most of all my better half.

This is my lifestyle blog filled with the journeys and mishaps that come with moving to the Northeast.
I enjoy anything that is different, quaint and eclectic. I am a dreamer and a creator trapped in a first born anal retentaive's body. I love everything DIY, modern and fashion with flair.

I am a follower of Christ and take is as my daily mission to help spread His purpose and wisdom. Joseph and I have dreams of throwing our lives into the wind to pursue missions locally, nationally, and globally.

I have the world's most amazing friends, family and support system. I am a loyal friend and believe that everyone deserves to fulfill their true potential. Don't be afraid to be different or go against the grain. You want people to love you for your individuality, not how well you can blend into the background.

  3. So funny that you moved to Albany. When I read your comment lastnight I turned to my roommate and said "a blogger just moved from Texas to Albany...nobody moves to Albany!!" I got even more excited when I saw Rensselaer, which is where I grew up! Spring is absolutely the best time there though so enjoy!

  11. HI! I just came across your blog and I can't believe you are from Albany! I'm from Albany too, but I'm currently living in Orlando, Florida. I'm excited to follow along and see what kind of stuff you get into in Albany. What hospital do you work in? My mom works at St. Peters and I used to as well. Have a great weekend!

  13. I stumbled across your blog and had to say hi - I also live in Albany! I moved here from across the border in VT two years ago, so I can relate to your posts about exploring. Even though Albany isn't that big, there are still tons of places I haven't made it to yet!
